Efe Kaptan ("we," "our," or "us") operates the German Exam Prep mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

We collect limited information from users to improve the App's functionality and performance. This includes:

  • Analytics Data: We use Amplitude to collect anonymized analytics data only with your consent. On iOS devices, this is requested through the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; on Android devices, this is requested through an in-app consent prompt. This data helps us understand how users interact with the App, such as usage patterns and feature engagement.
  • Subscription Data: We pass a unique identifier (userId) provided by RevenueCat to track and manage subscriptions (across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store). This identifier is used solely for managing your subscription status and is not linked to any personal information.

3. Subscription Information

Subscriptions for the App are managed through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Please refer to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store privacy policies for details on how they handle your information.

4. Subscription Management

Apple App Store (iOS): To manage or cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
  2. Tap your name at the top of the Settings menu
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find and tap on "German Exam Prep"
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription" to cancel, or select a different subscription option to change your plan

Google Play Store (Android): To manage or cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  4. Select "German Exam Prep"
  5. Choose Cancel subscription or select a different plan

5. Use of Information

  • Analytics: The data collected via Amplitude is used to analyze usage trends and improve the App's functionality, provided you have given consent. The data is anonymized and does not include personal information.
  • Subscription Management: The userId passed from RevenueCat is used to manage your subscription status across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It is not used for any other purpose.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the security of the data we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below.

If you do not wish to be tracked for analytics, you can decline consent when prompted (on iOS via the ATT prompt; on Android via the in-app consent prompt). You can also adjust your device or app settings to change your choice later. If you do not grant permission, no analytics data will be collected.

8. Platform Tracking Permissions (iOS ATT)

Our app complies with the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, which requires user consent before tracking data across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you choose to allow tracking on iOS, we will collect anonymized analytics data using Amplitude. If you decline, no analytics data will be collected, and the app's functionality will remain unaffected.
